We are an inclusive Eclectic Pagan community dedicated to spiritual growth, learning, respect, fellowship, and honoring the many paths people walk beneath the same Moon.
This application is not a test. It is simply a way for us to get to know you, understand your spiritual journey, and determine whether New Moon Eclectics Coven is a good fit for you, just as you determine whether we are a good fit for you.
Whether you are new to your path or have walked it for many years, we welcome sincere seekers with honesty, kindness, and respect.
About the Coven
New Moon Eclectics Coven is an inclusive Eclectic Pagan community dedicated to spiritual growth, education, fellowship, and honoring the many paths that lead us to the Divine. We believe there is no single "correct" path. Every person's spiritual journey is unique, and we celebrate the diversity of traditions, beliefs, and practices that enrich our community. Whether you are just beginning your journey or have walked your path for many years, you are welcome here with sincerity, respect, and an open heart.
What makes New Moon Eclectics unique is that we are more than an online community.
Together with Witchcraft TV, we are a mobile ministry and outreach organization, traveling throughout the United States in our motorhome, visiting Pagan shops, festivals, sacred places, historical sites, and communities. Our mission is to connect with fellow practitioners, support Pagan businesses and organizations, share educational resources, and build meaningful relationships wherever the road leads us.
Because we travel full-time, much of our Coven life takes place online. Through virtual gatherings, discussions, classes, and community events, members from many different locations are able to learn, grow, and support one another regardless of distance.
At the same time, we believe there is great value in gathering face-to-face whenever possible. As our travels bring us to different regions, we welcome opportunities to meet members in person, celebrate together, conduct rituals, and perform rites such as dedications, handfastings, Priestess and Priest ordinations, and initiations when appropriate and by mutual agreement.
Whether we meet beneath the same roof or beneath the same Moon from different parts of the world, our purpose remains the same:
To build a welcoming spiritual family where wisdom is shared freely, respect is given generously, and every sincere seeker has the opportunity to learn, grow, and discover their own path.
Coven vs. Academy
Although the New Moon Eclectics Coven and the New Moon Eclectics Academy work hand in hand, they serve two different purposes within our organization.
We encourage every applicant to understand these differences before choosing the path that is right for them.
The Coven
The New Moon Eclectics Coven is our spiritual community.
It is a place where members gather to build friendships, support one another, celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year, share spiritual experiences, participate in rituals, and continue growing together.
Membership in the Coven is about becoming part of a spiritual family built upon respect, kindness, integrity, and mutual support.
The Coven focuses on:
• Fellowship and community
• Shared spiritual practice
• Ritual and celebration
• Personal growth
• Service to others
• Building lasting friendships
The Coven welcomes individuals from many different Pagan and Earth-centered traditions. We do not require every member to practice in the same way or follow the same spiritual path.
The Academy
The New Moon Eclectics Academy is the educational branch of our organization.
Founded upon the belief that spiritual knowledge should be available to everyone, our Academy offers structured courses covering a wide variety of Pagan, Witchcraft, and Earth-centered subjects.
Our classes are provided free of charge, because we believe that wisdom should be shared rather than sold.
Students may choose to:
• Learn for personal spiritual enrichment.
• Expand their knowledge.
• Explore new traditions and practices.
• Work toward earning New Moon Eclectics Priestess or Priest Degrees through our structured educational program.
** Participation in the Academy is entirely voluntary.
Two Paths, One Community
Many members choose to participate in both the Coven and the Academy.
Others may become active Coven members without enrolling in the Academy.
Likewise, some students choose to study through the Academy without becoming Coven members.
There is no "right" path.
We encourage each individual to follow the journey that best supports their personal growth and spiritual goals.
Whether you join our Coven, our Academy, or both, our hope is that New Moon Eclectics becomes a place where you feel welcomed, encouraged, and inspired to continue your journey.
Academy Enrollment
If you are interested in joining the New Moon Eclectics Academy, simply indicate your interest on your application.
Applicants wishing to enroll in the Academy will be asked to submit a short essay so we may better understand their spiritual journey, goals, and how we can best support their educational experience.

At New Moon Eclectics, we believe spiritual knowledge should never be limited by a person's financial circumstances. For that reason, our Academy lessons are offered free of charge. Donations are always appreciated to help support our mission, but they are never required to learn.
Membership Expectations & Community Values
At New Moon Eclectics, we believe that a strong spiritual community is built on trust, kindness, mutual respect, and personal responsibility.
Every member contributes to the energy of our Coven. By joining our community, you are helping to create a space where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and supported on their unique spiritual journey.
We do not expect perfection. We simply ask that every member approach our community with honesty, compassion, and a willingness to learn and grow.
As a member of New Moon Eclectics Coven, you agree to uphold the following values and expectations.
Respect One Another
Treat every member with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Healthy discussion is encouraged. Personal attacks, harassment, discrimination, bullying, or hateful behavior have no place within our community.
Honor Different Paths
Our members come from many Pagan and Earth-centered traditions.
No single path is considered superior to another.
We celebrate diversity and encourage respectful learning from one another.
Maintain Confidentiality
Personal stories, spiritual experiences, and private conversations shared within the Coven should remain confidential unless permission has been given to share them.
Trust is one of the foundations of every healthy spiritual community. Practice Personal Responsibility.
Each member is responsible for their own words, actions, and spiritual choices.
We encourage thoughtful decision-making, accountability, and respectful communication.
Support a Positive Community
Offer encouragement whenever possible.
Celebrate one another's successes.
Lift others up rather than tearing them down.
Remember that even small acts of kindness can have a lasting impact.
Respect Boundaries
Every individual has the right to establish personal, emotional, physical, and spiritual boundaries.
Consent, respect, and understanding are expected in all interactions.
Continue Growing
Spiritual growth is a lifelong journey.
Remain open to learning, asking questions, exploring new ideas, and challenging yourself in healthy and respectful ways.
Represent New Moon Eclectics with Integrity
When participating in Coven activities or representing New Moon Eclectics publicly, members are encouraged to conduct themselves with honesty, kindness, and integrity.
Our actions reflect not only upon ourselves but also upon the community we share.
Our Guiding Principle

Such decisions are never made lightly and are guided by fairness, compassion, and the best interests of the Coven as a whole.
Application Process
We are honored that you are considering becoming part of the New Moon Eclectics family.
Joining a Coven is an important decision, and we believe it should be approached with honesty, openness, and mutual respect. Our application process is designed to help both you and our leadership determine whether New Moon Eclectics is the right fit for your spiritual journey.
We believe that finding the right spiritual community is a shared journey of discovery. Just as we are getting to know you, we encourage you to take this opportunity to learn about us and decide whether our Coven aligns with your own beliefs, goals, and values.
Step One
Submit Your Application
Complete the Coven Membership Application in its entirety.
If you choose to enroll in the New Moon Eclectics Academy, please include your required essay as outlined in the Academy Enrollment section.
Step Two
Application Review
Your application will be carefully reviewed by the High Priestess Rhonda McLean and High Priest Harold Sanford Carter III.
We take the time to thoughtfully read each application so that we may better understand your spiritual journey, interests, and goals.
Because every applicant deserves individual attention, review times may vary.
Step Three
Personal Conversation
If your application appears to be a good fit, we will contact you ,via an agreed form of contact, to arrange a conversation.
This may take place online, by phone, through video chat, or in person whenever possible.
This conversation is not an interview in the traditional sense. It is simply an opportunity for us to become better acquainted, answer questions, and determine whether New Moon Eclectics feels like the right spiritual home for you.
Step Four
Seeker Period
Applicants who continue through the process may be invited to become a Seeker.
The Seeker period allows both you and the Coven to spend time getting to know one another through participation in our community, discussions, and activities.
This period is intended to ensure that membership is a positive experience for everyone involved.
The length of the Seeker period may vary depending upon the individual and circumstances.
Depending on our conversation in step three, the Seeker period may be skipped upon agreement of all persons involved in the conversation.
Step Five
Coven Membership
At the conclusion of the Seeker period, and with mutual agreement, applicants may be invited into full membership within New Moon Eclectics Coven, and become a Dedicant.
When possible, dedications, initiations, and other rites are conducted in person by the High Priestess and High Priest.
Because New Moon Eclectics is a traveling Coven, these ceremonies are often coordinated as our travels bring us into the applicant's region or during planned gatherings and events.
Academy Enrollment
Applicants who choose to enroll in the Academy may begin their studies following acceptance into the educational program.
Students may pursue personal enrichment, expand their knowledge, or work toward New Moon Eclectics Priestess or Priest Degree studies at their own pace.
Enrollment in the Academy is independent of Coven membership, and participation in either program does not require participation in the other.
A Final Thought
Please remember that applying for membership does not guarantee acceptance into the Coven.
Likewise, submitting an application does not obligate you to become a member should you be invited to join.
Our goal is to build a welcoming, respectful, and supportive spiritual family where every member feels at home.
We believe that the strongest communities are built not through numbers, but through trust, kindness, shared values, and genuine connection.
